This unit is the same as the PCU-3 with the addition of a Meter and Shunt. The hydrofuelsys PCU-3 series of Constant Current Pulse Width Modulators makes it easy to control your HHO Cell. With its adjustable output and more efficient design, your PCU-3 keeps your cells running cooler and producing more gas. If you use a 12V HHO cell to make HHO then you have probably ran into heat problems. If you run your cell with too strong electrolyte you get more production, but run into heat problems. If you run it too weak you don't get much heat, but your production is too low also. A PWM can help control your cell so you can get more production. With most PWMs you can vary the output but unless your PWM is a Constant Current PWM, you still can have thermal runaway.

That is why you want a CONSTANT CURRENT PWM (CCPWM) for your HHO system. Most Constant Current PWMs are $100 or more, but with the Hydrogen Fuel Systems PCU-3 Series you get the best value for the money. The PCU-3 is the newest in our line of Constant Current Pulse Width Modulators. It is more efficient than other CCPWM's on the market therefore the MOSFET's and the Cells run cooler. Using our new smart sense(TM) technology, the PCU-3 maintains the Hydrogen Cell so that it doesn't go into thermal runaway. By keeping the current constant it controls the temperature and the overall function of the cell.
